Shirley Valentine 2010

Famous Broadway comedy, Shirley Valentine by Willy Russell, originally opened in London in 1988. Starring Pauline Collins in the lead role, it was an instant success and has been produced all over the world. The play opens with Shirley reminiscing and wondering what has happened to her in her stagnant life and marriage. When a friend gives her a ticket so she can accompany her to Greece, Shirley agonizes over whether she should go and leave her husband to fend for himself. She eventually leaves him a note and goes to Greece to find adventure and romance.
